Energy Bill Relief
The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides families with short-term fuel assistance during the heating and cooling seasons. Persons receiving LIHEAP are connected to other case management activities which provide a link to long-term resources to help families become self-reliant. PBJCEOC offers another energy program called Assurance 16, which provides a financial incentive to persons completing workshops in four areas: energy conservation, utility consumption, goal setting and household budgeting. Persons eligible for LiHEAP should also qualify for most of our programs including Residential Weatherization Assistance, Emergency Food Resources , Prescription Medication Aid and Early Childhood Education (Head Start).
